With an aim to bridge the gap between educational research and practices, Learning Point Associates began as North Central Regional Educational Laboratory (NCREL) in Elmhurst, Illinois in 1984. NCREL baptized Learning Point Associates in the year 2004. The company is known as a leader in afterschool services, literacy curriculum development, district and school improvement, and educator effectiveness all over the U.S.
Learning Point Associates produces a variety of products, publications and multimedia tools for educators and policymakers. Their aim is to improve deliverables and strategies of educators and policymakers. For that, an automated and customizable tool with the following features was needed to generate decisions based on the assessment conducted:
- A school or district should be able to sign up for a "Project"
- One person should be assigned the post of a "project administrator"
- The project administrator should be in charge of configuring the options for that project (e.g. what tests are to be taken, by whom, when, what kind of data is needed, what kind of data roll-up is required etc.)
BluEnt Approach and Methodology
Learning Point Associates approached BluEnt to develop an efficient and user-friendly assessment engine. Learning and developing efficient tools for effective learning without assessment is meaningless. BluEnt developed an assessment engine that encompassed the current model of assessment strategies to help in evaluating individuals, teams or organizational impacts. The assessment engine included a user-friendly interface for taking tests/surveys and using the data to generate assessments. It also provided integrated sections for various administrative users to manage and monitor activities of other participants.
.NET, C#, MS SQL
BluEnt helped Learning Point Associates in monitoring users' activities with least effort. Our services generated feedbacks and reports based on text and graph representations to track various levels of participants, projects and assessments. | Back to Our Case Studies List
